EAU DE PARKHAUS is water from the gallery air. It is stored in 336 beer bottles.

The PARKHAUS in the Malkastenpark has been an important art vanue in Düsseldorf for 24 years. This off-space was located in the park of the Artists Association Malkasten. The strong presence of the surrounding nature has shaped this space from the start. EAU DE PARKHAUS has made this coexistence of the park and the PARKHAUS visible, tangible and preserved.
EAU DE PARKHAUS was the last project in the PARKHAUS before the building was torn down to make room for a new one.

On May 8th and 9th, 2021, PARKHAUS visitors could chouse and pick up bottles of EAU DE PARKHAUS for a symbolic 5 €.

Each bottle of EAU DE PARKHAUS is numbered and signed. A label "EAU DE PARKHAUS Malkastenpark Düsseldorf" is hand-stamped directly on the bottle. The text is mirrored and can be read by looking through the water and glass. A frame of the text has a shape of the floor plan of the PARKHAUS.
