Retrospective, sound project, exhibition view at National Museum of Slovenia–Metelkova, Ljubljana

RETROSPECTIVE

The sound project Retrospective was originally conceived in 1997 for the Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean in Torino, Italy. For the exhibition The Second Explosion – the ‘90s, the work was digitalised and technically updated.

At the museum’s entrance the visitor could borrow wireless headphones for Retrospective, and use them for the duration of his visit. Retrospective was also accessible via QR-Code.

There were three recordings available for selection: Looking, Searching, and Wandering. All three recordings consisted of recorded footsteps and a woman’s voice reading the titles of Nika Špan’s works.
